@JustSomeRandomNewb Nope.... if you look at all the gizmos on the market that are designed to improve the transfer of the string energy to the guitar neck/body, it's apparent most experts agree it's all about the energy exchange with the body. But I'll add that it's EXCHANGE, not transfer. Meaning the strings and body symbiotically RESONATE and that's really what keeps the string ringing longer. Peace.

I would think that when the guitar vibrates when playing the b string it means that the string is losing a lot of energy to the body, meaning it would not keep vibrating long, meaning less sustain...
