Please post more vids of Dave if you have them. It was great having him in the DC area for years sharing his talents. He also used to play a Hagstrom bass on an original cut called 3 or 4 basses, can't remember how many but it was on the yard at Howard back in the day (1979?)

Dave Robbins was a monster on keys. I think it was Howard University Homecoming in 1979 or 1980 when his band David Robbins Quintent opened for Patti LaBelle @ Crampton and they literally stole the show. Wendell Williamson, WHUR DJ on sundays did a bass solo that rocked the building--especially when he started plucking the bass with his teeth. We were worn out by the time Patti took the stage I last spoke to Dave when he was in the studio in ATL with the Black Eyed Peas (?) about 4 years ago.
